How to Start a Barter Exchange

sales, this opportunity is not for you. Owning a barter exchange is 100%
about sales and marketing.

If you are interested in making a difference with people, if you enjoy
working with businesses or have an interest in consulting as an occupation,
owning your own barter exchange may be just what you need.

Right now, in the United States, credit is tight and sales are down for
most businesses. Many businesses are closing. People are being laid

How does it work?

As a barter exchange owner, you will be engaged in two activities, primarily:
signing up new members and helping them buy and sell.

Most barter exchanges charge a sign up fee from $50-$1000, a small
transaction fee to both buyer and seller (somewhere between 3% and 7.5%
per transaction), and a small monthly fee (somewhere between ($10 and
$30 per month). Below is an example of the income potential of an
exchange that charges a $500 sign up fee, 5% per transaction, $10 per
month, and signs up 10 new members every month.
